Happy Weekend, everyone!!!
In honor of National Women's Day, I'd like to introduce to you Mrs. Becky Tharp! I have known Becky since I started working at Starbucks in 2012. Her and I have stayed close throughout the years, being supportive of our changes and exciting #ladyboss opportunities that have occurred for the both of us. Becky has recently made the jump out of her comfort zone! She is now a realtor, just starting out, and since I love "community over competition", I've decided to talk about her today! SO, if you're looking for a home, allow this driven and smart woman to guide you to your forever home. She's got a whole lot of passion and she's eager to work with awesome clients (that's why I'm sharing here! I know I have amazing clients!)...So, with that being said, let's learn a little bit more about Mrs. Tharp! (PS-Isn't she stylin?! Love that pink in her hair!)
What did you do for work prior to being a realtor?
Prior to becoming a realtor I was a hair stylist for 13 years, a stay at home mom for 2 years and a barista at Starbucks for 8 years.
What made you want to be a real estate agent?
I wanted to become a real estate agent because I really love working with people and enjoy developing personal relationships with my clients. I am super excited to do something that I am extremely proud of and love. It’s been a long time since I have felt this way.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my free time I love to cook and spend time with my family and friends. I also LOVE doing CrossFit!
What is your current marketing strategy?
My current marketing tools consist of all sorts of things. I try to use Facebook and Instagram as much as possible but there are some days where I don't get a chance to even open either of them. I am lucky to have an extremely talented husband who creates a lot of marketing pieces for me so I also do a lot of mailers.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about being a Realtor, besides getting to meet so many awesome people, has probably got to be looking at sweet houses, lol. Honestly though, I love that I am my own boss and can plan my life and work around each other.
What is your main objective being a realtor?
My hopes are to help people find the home of their dreams, the one that when they walk through the front door they say "this is home" before even seeing the rest of the house. That feeling is an amazing feeling that everyone should experience. I also hope to inspire others to step outside of their comfort zones and do something for themselves. Real Estate has been a very real passion of mine for a VERY long time but I was scared to death to leave my comfort zone and terrified of failing. It is a huge risk, but with the right training and people surrounding you, you can make a really great life for yourself.
What are your goals for 2017?
My goals for 2017 would be to develop a successful career as a Realtor and know that my friends and family trust that I will take great care of their friends and family as they are searching for their next home.
